I have worked with Laurel on the Gardeners’ House project for several years now, from its very beginnings to us successfully gaining our full funding of 3.1 million. Her knowledge, guidance and support has been, and continues to be, invaluable. Laurel genuinely wants to see the people and projects she works with flourish and puts great passion into helping to make sure they do.

The Gardeners' House

Laurel was recommended to us for some last minute support, as we worked to complete a Heritage Fund application against a tight deadline. I am so grateful Laurel took us on, she was calm, efficient, extremely knowledgeable and gave clear and insightful feedback and worked as hard as I did to complete on time. Huge thanks Laurel. Highly recommended.

Victoria Park Action Group

She is an excellent fundraiser and a real ally for socially engaged practice and community led cultural programming

Take a Part

It was a pleasure working with Laurel, she understood the needs of the funding body and ‘translated’ our ambitions into a successful bid – recommended!

South West Coast Path Association

It's always a pleasure to make new connections and one such connection we made recently is with Laurel Miller. Laurel is a fundraising strategist and we have worked with her on a new Heritage Lottery funding application. The process worked so well, and we learnt so much along the way. Meur ras / Thank you Laurel, hope to work with you again soon

Golden Tree Productions CIC, Cornwall

The trustees needed to raise a lot of money to buy new play equipment for our community. We worked hard and had raised a small portion of the total that we needed. It was only when Laurel came on board with her expert guidance and support, that we were able to raise the money to buy the equipment. Without Laurel’s depth of knowledge and her expertise in fundraising, we would probably still be holding coffee mornings and raffles today!

Small community organisation

Laurel was an excellent member of the team, her strength lies in being calm, knowledgeable and her warm and respectful approach to colleagues and the public and also encouraging community members to participate in the project. Laurel is a great addition to any team bringing ideas, structure, respect and a wonderful sense of humour too.

Community diversity project in Wiltshire

Laurel was very supportive from our first meeting and through the whole process to the point when we actually submitted our application. Without her guidance, encouragement and advice we would have struggled to complete the process. She made us do the work, pointed out where we were lacking in detail and clarity on our application, Laurel’s guidance ensured that we finally had a coherent and robust document that we could submit to the NLHF. We were successful in our application which has allowed us to undertake essential nature conservation work and engage local people. She fully understood what we were trying to achieve and helped us to translate our aspirations into reality.

Small volunteer run nature organisation

I was very anxious and lacking in confidence when I approached Laurel to help me get funding. She quickly put me at ease, and her friendly assurance, deep knowledge and endless, patient ability to explain things in a way that I understood, inspired me to create a successfully funded project that was a delight to run, with excellent outcomes. I was only able to do this because I knew Laurel was always there, ready to advise, encourage and empower. Since working with Laurel I have had the confidence to apply for - and consistently get - further, large amounts of funding. I will always be grateful, and highly recommend Laurel's expertise, skill and kindness.
